Coast to Coast

We had a wonderful couple stay with us this weekend, of course all our couples are wonderful (!), but what made this couple stand out was their modus operandi for the weekend. They started their Sunday morning watching the sunrise in Boston and then hopped on a plane to be here for sunset that night! Isn't that a great way to spend a day...seeing the sunrise on the east coast and seeing the sunset on the west coast? I give them super high marks for being romantic.....

For those of you that don't have those kinds of plans for the weekend, here are some suggestions!

Zenbu Sushi Bar

2003 San Elijo Ave
Cardiff

They have local lobster specials going on!!

Check out the menu here...

At the Del Mar Fairgrounds this weekend:

Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show

Halloween is almost here! I have to admit that Halloween really is my favorite holiday - I mean we get to dress up as anything we want turning into someone (or something!) else completely; what's better than that? LOL If you're looking for a little bit of scary this Halloween, I feel it is my duty to tell you about The Scream Zone happening at the Del Mar Fairgrounds - you have to check out their intro to the website - good stuff!

Now THIS is what you should do this weekend! This is Cardiff By the Sea Lodge owner Jeanette taking advantage of our beautiful weather and still very warm water in Mission Bay. Her husband James took this picture of her last weekend - he said they had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone who loves water sports. The current water temp here in Cardiff is 66-70 degrees - that's good stuff! The weather has been beautiful; warm and clear during the day and chilly enough in the evenings to need a really great sweatshirt.
