Welcoming March

It's coming to the end of another day here at Cardiff Lodge, and I'm about to make the final rounds. My favorite part of the night here will happen in about fifteen minutes, and that's when I go upstairs to sit by the fire for a few moments. If you flip your chair to face the ocean, you can just about hear the waves; and high on the rooftop, the breeze is soft and tireless. sometimes the smallest moments of all are the ones that stand out, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea Lodge is really a place of those memorable moments.

We're already into the third month of 2009 -- can you believe it? I welcome you in this month of flowers and whale watching and almost-spring to visit the lodge and make memories of your own, be they on the rooftop near the firepit, in the garden with a cup of coffee, or in the smiles shared in the discovery of our unique rooms.

Welcome to Cardiff, and welcome to March.

Happy Valentine's Day

Whether it be with a loved one, good friends, or a fuzzy pet, we hope you all are spending a happy Valentines Day with someone special. It is days like these that help us refocus and remember how important the little things are! Thanks to all who chose to spend this special day with us, and we welcome those soon to visit!

Linda of Cardiff-by-the-Sea was the winner of our 2008-2009 Holiday Gift Basket Drawing. She took home a basket full of great lodge mementos, treats, and other great gifts. Thank you to all who stopped by our Christmas Open House, and congratulations Linda!

Happy New Year! Four days into 2009 and already it's been a great year. We hope you had a wonderful holiday season with all your friends and loved ones.

We've added an Events & Happenings page on our blog, so now you can stay updated on all the goings-on here at the lodge and in the surrounding areas. We'll keep it updated regularly, so make sure you keep checking back!

It's only two more days until Christmas, and I am headed home to the snow! We here at the lodge just wanted to send out a very merry Christmas to all our guests past, present, and future. We really appreciate all of you! May your holiday be full of laughs, family, and friends, and we hope to see you in the new year!

The lodge is decorated!!! Come see our twinkling stars, beautiful lights, and pretty windows! Jeanette and I even learned how to paint wreaths and snow on the windows! It made me want hot cider and eggnog and yummy holiday snacks...mmmm....Anyway! Hahah! Guess I'm hungry! The lodge is beautiful, so come see for yourself!
