April Showers bring...more showers!

This morning I got into work earlier than usual, and wow! was it beautiful. You know that amazing after-the-rain smell? Where everything is fresh and clean and fragrant? Well multiply that times a billion and that's what this morning was like.

Here are some pictures I took around the lodge.

Steps away from the blue Pacific Ocean, and just minutes from all San Diego has to offer, there is a place where lush gardens bloom year round. A quaint, seaside village - Cardiff-by-the-Sea - is where people are friendly and the pace is relaxed. We have seventeen luxurious bed and breakfast and guestrooms, each room luxuriously decorated with its own theme and decor. Linger over breakfast on an ocean-view terrace and savor sunsets around an open pit fire ring high on our rooftop garden. At night, enjoy our hot tub under the stars.

Weddings and the Rooftop Garden

One of the most unique aspects of the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Lodge is our beautiful rooftop garden. Throughout the year and especially during the summer, many a happy small wedding is held up there. With panoramic ocean views, a jacuzzi, and a fire ring, the rooftop garden is also flower child to the green thumb of owner James Statser. There is not a month that flowers are not blooming from every surface possible; but April is when the gardens really take off in a flurry of blossoms!
